Lyrics

Not everything false is fake
Some lies live in plain sight
They call it real, but it feels staged
Like we're watching shadows dance on the wall

I used to trust what the screen would say
Til the patterns looped and the colors betrayed
News got loud but the stories stayed tame
Every headline felt like part of a game

I saw buildings fall like a script was writ
And actors cry with a perfect split
I ain't sayin' all of it's fake and staged
But some of it smells like a liar's cage

There's a veil on the world, and it's wearin' thin
You feel the cracks, but they hide the spin
What you see ain't always what's real
Gotta question the mask if you wanna heal

Through the veil, you start to see
It ain't just you—it ain't just me

They paint the sky and call it a trail
Then mock your eyes if your logic fails
Science bends where the funding leads
Truth gets lost in designer creeds

I read the Word—it spoke of this
Strong delusion in a velvet fist
They say, "Don't question," but that's the trap
Cuz every good lie wears a scholar's cap

You ever feel like something's off
Like the script don't fit, like the light got lost
The more you know, the more you ache
Like the world you knew was a plastic fake

There's a veil on the world, and it's wearin' thin
You feel the cracks, but they hide the spin
What you see ain't always what's real
Gotta question the mask if you wanna heal

Through the veil, you start to see
It ain't just you—it ain't just me
Truth survives when the lies all fall
Through the veil… you hear the call

They told us, "Don't look too close."
But maybe close is the only way out
